Professor LI Zhengcao got his Bachelor Degree in 1999, Master and Doctoral Degrees in 2003 from Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University.
In 2003, he joined Department of Quantum Engineering and Systems Science, the University of Tokyo as an Assistant Professor, and then moved back to Department of Materials Science and Engineering (now School of Materials Science and Engineering), Tsinghua University in 2006.
Professor LI has been honored with National Educational Teaching Achievement Award, and selected for the National Innovation Talent Promotion Plan, as well as awarded Fellow of the University of Tokyo (School of Engineering), and has been recognized as a Distinguished Young Scholars of Tsinghua University, Materials Research Society of China, Beijing City and Ministry of Education. Currently, he holds key roles in several prestigious organizations, including: vice chairman and expert committee member of the Nuclear Energy Professional Committee of China Energy Research Society,Technical Committee Member of the National Nuclear Power Plant Safety and Reliability Engineering Technology Research Center, Expert Committee Member of National Advanced Energy Research and Innovation Center, as well as member of International Group on Radiation Damage Mechanisms (IGRDM).
