Dr. Yeli earned her Bachelor's (2006) and Master's (2010) degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University. After completing her Ph.D. in Materials Science from University of Oxford in 2018 and conducting postdoctoral research at City University of Hong Kong, she joined Tsinghua University in 2021.
Dr. Yeli’s research specializes in corrosion mechanisms in nuclear fuel systems and advanced characterization of nuclear materials. Currently, Dr. Yeli serves as Deputy Director of the High-Temperature Metal Materials Research Center at Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology. Dr. Yeli holds memberships in the Chinese Metrology Society's Ion and Atom Probe Committee and the Chinese Society of Stereology's Youth Working Committee. She leads several research programs, including National Key R&D Program for Young Scientists and CNNC's Elite Talent Program.
